Love and Hate!!!

Two different sounds and words and both are un-related to eachother. Which is stronger..I'd say both!We know what is love and what a healing it can tender to the one in need of it, also what hatred can do; not to others but to one's ownself..
"Love your enemies and do good to those that hate you" Loving someone is easy, but hating someone?? Right!! isnt easy..Love touches you each day and it is the same gift without which living becomes purpose less..But then, how does love occur? Love in my opinion does not occur in some form, it can be experienced in every simple gestures of life, getures like helping, express a smile share the cheer, spread the peace, express gratitude, forgive, say soothing words to those in pain and so on and on. Again, why does anyone express such gestures, I mean what makes someone to manifest these gestures so effortlessly in day to day life? Observe that these expressions do not happen because someone asks you to do so.
Let me tell you it happens naturally because of the goodness of your heart. And this goodness embibes in you because you simply have this abundant love in the treasure of your heart!! You are right!! It happens beacause of who you are and the whole point revolves around the learning and the conditioning you have received in many ways!It is absolutely true when the old scriputure says on what love is: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=53&chapter=13&version=31
This can come true only when you keep the term, "Expectation" out of love. When expectations come into picture, both success and failure of living upto the same also become equally important. The worst one is however, the failure of keeping up the expectations that easily triggers the argument..This is the argument that leads into "Hate".. An emotion, an addiction, a Self destructive mission.I did say self destructive mission because in the course of hating someone you ply on harming the one you hate, you tend to loose your energy, health and hurt yourself deeply.Anger , disappointment, rejection are the elements that nurture this emotion. The deeper it enters you, the more you are disturbed!
And the state of helplessness to control the situation makes it even more miserable.Lets not confuse that hatredness also comes from the abundance of the goodness of the heart, this is only because when the expectations from the other person are not met. Another interesting fact of this emotion is, its quite easy to hate the ones you love the most!As we start loving someone, we forget about love and start expecting from them, then it is the expectation that drives love but as it is love in its whole form is the opposite of the same and yea, love is slowly going into the hiding place. Its crystal clear that Love and Hate are not the opposites but they are not related at all..
Two are different emotions with different energies and different motives. What should be one's choice to pick up and live with, is entirely depending on the weight of the moment and the circumstance that is propelling it.
Understanding each emotion carefully, will give the knowledge to make a stand and go for the choice. Everyone wants to love and be loved, because with love comes joy and peace, trust me none would want to ruin it. At the same time none of us would be happy and at ease if we hate somone intentionally. Everyone wants to overcome it, no matter how fresh the state is.In overcoming it you either reconcile with the one or will start to ignore the person/behaviour. However, one thing should be specifically clear, that you've got your facts right, imagine what a sad state it would be, when you have caused a serious damage to a relationship in the process with wrong or improper knowledge about the person!
Certainly! It is not an easy affair to hate someone! Many consequenses, many heartbreaks, many repercussions and much more trauma are involved!
But..the moment of reconcilation with the person you hate and the tears of joy and forgiveness that flow from your heart must say is amazing..I am sure that each of us know the taste of it and have enjoyed that moment of finding the lost one back in our lives..
It is indeed wonderful to watch the hate changing, rather the expectations becoming into only Love and only love that rules the moment..
Therefore, Life is all about living each moment to the fullest..
And to live, love without expecting but when you hate come back to terms and enjoy the sweetness of that friendship again..
Well thats the human side of it and none can escape it acept both the energies and enjoy Life!!
Live and let live!!!

  1. - You can love somebody only when you can love yourself and we all know how much a person can honestly love THE SELF.

    - I think through "hate" as well you can love the person you love..... ha ha ha..... interesting point to think about.... but think, this is true as well...

    - Can they really co-exist ???? i think yes and you can love a person you hate the most.... another interesting point to ponder upon...

    - what about the people who dont fall in any of these categories, will you call the relationship between the two as the one of 1) hatred for not loving them, 2) Love for not hurting them, 3) Dont know

And we can go on and on and on....

  2. I would not agree that love and hate are not related at all...they are just the varying degrees of the same energy, which bubbles up inside one's heart. The nearest one is to their selfless heart, more love will flow, and farthest one is , the energy turns to hatred. Yes, this could be momentary where a person touches the sunlit peak of love one moment, towards some person, and then the next moment they are in the dark valley of hatred, and our life keeps on swinging between this peak and valley.
So, one just has to understand the dynamics of this energy. And then, its just a matter of choice to be on the peak or in the valley.

  3. Nitish: I think the ones who dont fall into either of the categories, will be the ones who are in absolute state..I call it blank..And thats true to people who are strangers in our lives..to whom we are not attached in any way, therefore it will make more sense for us not to love or hate them! And I do agree on your 1st 2 points..Loving yourself will teach u to love others.."Do unto others as you want them do unto you!!" that line's from the Bible..And you can only hate the one whome you love the most..exactly!!!

Vivek: Alright! Love and Hate are not equal atleast..agree? When I say they are unrelated, I mean that they have different motivations and different purposes..they cannot be equal in energy, and they are not from the same source..Lets keep it clear..Source of a particular energy be it love or hatred, they cannot be same!
